Online Gallery: My Cello Performances

Cello

Having transitioned to the cello two years ago after previously playing the violin for six years, involvement in music now spans four orchestras and one cello ensemble. This includes being the section leader of the East Ridge Middle School orchestra, achieved just two months after starting the cello. Additionally, Ellie participates in a 100-member district symphonic orchestra, plays in a 25-member district chamber orchestra that includes four cellos, and is part of the Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra, consisting of 20 players. She was chosen to perform in the Western Regional Middle School festival, which features participants from over 30+ middle schools, for both this year and the last. Remarkably, this year she stood out as the only cellist from Ridgefield to be selected through the audition process.

Ellie participates in over 25 concerts annually as a cellist. Her school selected her to perform in a quartet during the Veteran's Day Breakfast. Furthermore, she was again chosen to play in a quartet for the district-wide 8th-grade Witness Stones Ceremony in Ridgefield, a tribute to the history of slavery in the area.

Currently, Ellie is working on the Saint-Saëns Concerto no. 1 in A minor op. 33.
